GE Healthcare – MR Gadopiclenol (VUEWAY®) Protocols

Instructions: • Consider Fleet’s enema to clear rectum
• Consider rectal ultrasound (or similar) gel (60 mL administered by Foley)
• Antiperistalsis: Immediately before motion sensitive pulse sequences 1 mg glucagon IV; or 25-30 min before motion sensitive pulse sequences anticholinergic medication such as 0.25 mg hyoscyamine sulfate sublingual or hyoscine butylbromide (Buscopan) 20 mg or higher dose IM (currently not available in the US)
• For metal artifacts consider 1.5T, reduced FOV multishot DWI, changing readout direction
Common Indications: Rectal cancer, staging treatment response, recurrence
Position: Supine
Coil: 32 channel Torso, GEMS Body array, or Air coil
Landmark: Iliac Crest
